AVMA’s First Frederick Douglass Patterson Award Winner: Dr. Willie Reed

On July 14, 2023, Dr. Willie M. Reed, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University, was named the inaugural recipient of the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Frederick Douglass Patterson Lifetime Achievement Award for his distinguished leadership in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the veterinary profession.
