Awards and ScholarshipsThe AAAP Foundation annually offers 40+ scholarships to students interested in poultry medicine. Scholarship award amounts range from $500 to $5,000, helping students defray housing, living and travel expenses incurred while attending externships and pay for travel to the AVMA Convention to present their work during the AAAP Annual Meeting. Student Chapters
AAAP encourages and supports Student Chapters as part of its mission to promote scientific knowledge to enhance the health, well-being, and productivity of poultry. Student Chapters benefit students who are interested in becoming poultry veterinarians and students who are interested in learning more about poultry medicine or food safety related to poultry medicine. Applications/ReportingStudent chapters of AAAP may be organized at schools or colleges of veterinary medicine under the direction of an advisor who is a current member in good standing of AAAP. Vet School Liaisons
The AAAP has put together a list of the current liaisons with poultry veterinary colleges. The vet liaison acts as a point of contact between vet school and the American Association of Avian Pathologists!
